Chef LeeZ Family Thai Cooking Class Bangkok Review 938

Though the location is a little further from the city, it’s worth the travel! Actually it is only about 15 km away from Sukhumvit, but the traffic makes the journey about 30-40 minutes. Print out the map given on the website and pass it to the taxi driver, make sure the driver agrees to use the meter, and there shouldn’t be any problem. My husband and I took the 10am to 2pm class with 6 others. Chef Lee explained how to make the various dishes from scratch and we got to see the plants and herbs in their raw forms. Each of us had a cooking and preparation station, but we worked in pairs for some dishes, cos there were 12 dishes to make in that time. There were kitchen helpers to assist with measuring, and sorting ingredients as well as washing up, so it never felt like hard work. It’s easy even for those who have little experience in the kitchen like me. The best thing about the recipes is that it’s made with real food…natural herbs, plants, spices… not pre-made supermarket pastes which may have other preservatives, MSG or artificial chemicals. It does taste different from the food outside… less oily, more real flavor. The pad Thai and green papaya salad are my favorites. Chef Lee was really friendly and puts people at ease. and she even ensured that everyone was able to find their way to their next destination, either by taxi or water taxi.
