Is Thailand the New Amsterdam?

Cannabis was decriminalized in Thailand In June 2022. Over 3000 prisoners with convictions were released and their records expunged!

I applied for and obtained a licence to grow  and sell Cannabis. Cannabis is the general classification for hemp (<.3% THC) and Marijuana (>.3% THC).  Growing and distribution is provided by our friends at www.Kruzon.com.

My husband, a 50 yr medical user (arthritis), has the following advice for first timers.

1)  Always get high before drinking as THC high amplifies the alcohol buzz.  It is very common for first time THC highs to include vomiting as your brain wraps itself around your new perspective of your surroundings. Never drink then get high!

2) Note eating cannabis takes 2+ hrs to know how high you will get! Thailand edibles are required to be less than .3% THC but as yet there is no policing or control.  Product THC ratings for growers and sellers is corrupt! 

3)  Be aware of the rip-off prices of tourist THC  stores where a gram is selling for over $30 U.S.. The same product in Canada would be $10 a gm.  Be prepared to negotiate with these tourist THC stores as they have a huge margins (hundreds of %s).

Will U.S. Fed Gov't crush Thailand's new Amsterdam bid?

About a year ago we informed you of Viator, Trip Advisors booking platform) now shows you their searches according to whichever product supplier pays them the highest commision rate. 

Viator's emails to us advises us that Viator does not allow any product to be next door to or in the same building as a cannabis grow (farm) or sales outlet as they honor the U.S. Federal Governments laws on drugs.  What does this mean to tourism in Thailand? Well it means most of Khao San RD. and much of Sukhumvit Rd., the touristy areas, will not show up on a Viator search as Viator will be forced to deactivate all such products. Just as they deactivated Chef Leez  when we offered our students an after class activity option where they could take a tour of our backyard garden which included cannabis plants. Viator has failed to respond to our numerous requests to confirm what is the required distance from cannabis sales or grow ops from a Viator supplier product. It would appear Viator will by the distance definitions currently provided will have to deactivate (not show) all activities in violation.Will the U.S. Federal Government crush Thailand's hopes of becoming the next touristy Amsterdam?  

Plastic Earth!

We ask that you do all that is in your power to reduce the use of plastics.

Be observant of the plastic in packaging. 

Tell your store managers that you are wary of packaging with plastic. Your comment represents 100 people that feel the same as you do!

There are NO mainland beaches free of plastic in Thailand! With every storm the beaches are covered in churned up plastic debris.

The young of adult seafaring birds are now receiving plastic instead or along with the fish the parent birds bring back from their ocean feeding!  The albatross young bird in this picture died as his diet was mostly plastic! It could had not developed the muscles to fly when its parents left the nesting area!

There is currently only one way to destroy plastic and is a special kind of ray gun that atomises plastic. It is unlikely to become common use BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE SPEAK OUT ON THE SUBJECT!
