Cannabis was decriminalized in Thailand In June 2022.
Oct 2024, New proposed law is expected to make recreational use of cannabis illegal again. You may need to bring your medical cannabis prescription with you.

Gone Fishn! Our response to COVID 19 shut down

My husband and were in Canada from Nov 2021 for a 10 day visit while activating my Canadian Resident Card. We were unable to return to Thailand before Oct 2022. For most of 2022 Thailand required Covid travel insurance. My husband has asthma and could not obtain the required travel insurance. I experienced my first -38 degrees Celsius, blizzards with 70 km winds, frozen water pipes, 2 meter snowdrifts, driving on frozen lakes, then spring came and we were GONE FISHN in Alberta Canada. We caught 6+kg rainbows, eastern brook trout, browns, tigers, walleyes, pike. GONE FISHN is the first of a string of blogs related to our months of our Canadian camping and fishing travels. We plan to repeat this adventure in the spring of 2024 or 2025.

Plastic Earth!

We ask that you do all that is in your power to reduce your use of plastics.
Be observant of the plastic in packaging. Xmas celebrations create a larger environmental impact than the entire proceeding year!
Tell your store managers that you are wary of packaging with plastic. Your comment represents what 100 other silent people think!
There are NO mainland beaches free of plastic in Thailand! With every storm the beaches are covered in churned up plastic debris.
The young of adult seafaring birds are now receiving plastic instead of or along with the fish the parent birds bring back from their ocean feeding! The albatross young bird in this picture died as his diet was mostly plastic! It hadn't developed the muscles to fly when its parents left the nesting area!
Plastic never goes away it simply becomes a microscopic piece of plastic. Please do your part to reduce celebration related environmental footprint and invite others to do likewise.
