Has Thailand learned from their experience with COVID 19 Control?

It has been announced that as early as April 2022 Thailand expects to open the country entry to that which it was before COVID 19. 

Thailand New years Songkran is Mid April. Thailand's PM announced SONGKRAN 2022 is expected to be cancelled. Songkran is a 10 day celebration. Millions of people leave Bangkok and visit family and friends in every part of Thailand. Thailand is approximately half the size of AB Canada. Thailand has near 70 million citizens. 

Mid April 2021 Songkran was allowed! Before songkran festival 2021 the daily new  Covid 19 cases was near 500. Within 6 weeks following songkran 2021 the new COVID19 cases increased into th 20,000 + new cases daily. Spiking with over 30,000 new cases daily.   

Easter Bunny or Valentines Rabbit?

Feb 12th 2022 this adult JackRabbit (Hare) made its country appearance. Due to the unseasonably warm weather the question remains is this a Valentine's rabbit or an early Easter bunny? What do you think? Rabbits /Hares are active all year.  To survive our Canadian winters they adjust their diet to what is available. This rabbit found dry grass attractive. Wild rabbits change color for camouflage while tame rabbits do not change colours. 

Trip Advisors sister company Viator

Did you know when you select your Trip Advisor activity you actually pay Trip Advisor via their sister company Viator.

Viator is in its own a travel booking platform.  Viator has announced to its activity suppliers that the highest commission paying accounts will be presented to potential customers first above review ratings.

This means your searches will show you the businesses paying the highest commission to Viator ahead of review ranking.  You will now have to wade through this to find the highest ranked supplier.  This is a 100% turn around from tourist searches finding their activity listed by review ranking statistics! Plastic Earth!

We ask that you do all that is in your power to reduce the use of plastics.

Be observant of the plastic in packaging. 

Tell your store managers that you are wary of packaging with plastic as your comment represents 100 other people that feel the same as you do!

There are NO mainland beaches free of plastic in Thailand! With every storm the beaches are covered in churned up plastic debris.

The young of adult seafaring birds are now receiving plastic instead or along with the fish the parent birds bring back from their ocean feeding!  The albatross young bird in this picture died as his diet was mostly plastic! It could had not developed the muscles to fly when its parents left the nesting area!

There is currently only one way to destroy plastic and is a special kind of ray gun that atomises plastic. It is unlikely to become common use BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE SPEAK OUT ON THE SUBJECT!
 

Thailand legalizes cannabis home grow.

Cannabis is being removed from illegal drug status by Thailand's narcotic board. Thai Households will then be able to home grow medicinal cannabis for their personal use.

Lawmaker Somchai Sawangkarn said the passing of an amendment to allow medical marijuana in the country “could be considered as a New Year gift to Thais.” “The amendment (on the Narcotics Bill) was passed the second and third readings today. And will become effective once it is published on the Royal Gazette,” he said.”
