Ingredients

1 k soy bean
2.5 l water
2.5 tsp Magnesium Sulphate

Pour blender contents into straining bag (cheese cloth or muslin) and hand squeeze and wring out the soy milk liquid.

Instructions

  1. Wash soy beans, soak in water for 3 hours, drain, rinse twice with clean water
  2. Place and soy bean in blender at medium speed til pureed.
  3. Pour blender contents into straining bag (cheese cloth or muslin) and hand squeeze and wring out the soy milk liquid.
  4. Pour soy milk into sauce pot of (2 cups) of boiling water and place over medium heat and bring to slow boil. Remove from heat.
  5. Add magnesium sulphate while slowly stirring till thoroughly mixed. Wait for mixture to set up ( 2 – 5 minutes).
  6. Place cloth in the draining/shaping container, pour curds into the shaping container cover contents with cloth and place a weight on top of the cloth.
  7. In about 30 minutes the excess water will drain and you will be left with tofu shaped to the container.
